Good Governance at the heart of EurActiv Romania's renewed strategy

Rich content and value-added services will be introduced in partnership with the newly created CSR Institute

Bucharest, March 19, 2012: EurActiv Romania, a member of the 15-country EurActiv European Media Network, launches today a new strategy that focuses on promoting European public policies and good governance.

EurActiv delivers localized EU policy information in 15 languages, reaching over 80% of EU citizens in their own language. EurActiv Network partners complement the ‘Brussels perspective’ on EU affairs with national points of view and adapt the contents to the interests and needs of local readers.

EurActiv.ro, the Romanian EU news and public policy debates portal, was founded in 2004. It has reported on the momentum of our society’s alignment and support towards Romania’s EU accession and its related policy developments. The new horizon is now “EU2020” and EurActiv.ro is now renewing its strategy to better serve its readers to this end.

Public Policy Debates: facilitating stakeholders’ dialogues on selected topics

Special Reports: in-depth research / coverage focusing on a key policy area

Consultancy Services: tailor-made expertise in selected areas, in partnership with CSR Institute (www.csrinstitute.ro)

Awareness-raising campaigns: promoting national and/or European programs (like Europe 2020, Enterprise 2020, Horizon 2020), national social campaigns, etc.

Communications services: Disseminating news on public policies and good governance through our online portal, email newsletter and social media tools

Corporate Briefings: Drafting of executive summaries on specific topics

In line with the new strategy, EurActiv Romania is launching a series of events focused on facilitating the stakeholders’ dialogues on the following topics: cloud computing governance framework, European education, shared valued of foreign investments, priorities and trends in public policies.

The first event, Cloud Services for Citizens, on April 19 2012, will gather representatives from the European Commission, Ministry of Communication and Information Society public institutions, international and local IT companies. More details can be found here www.euractiv.ro/policybriefings
